Book a mental health workshop

Indigenous people have experienced so much trauma in their lives because of first contact, through colonization and Residential School.

Our ancestors lived through abuse and neglect through their childhood years. Most were aged out and have lived many years in addictions and alcoholism. This trauma has been passed down from generation to generation, intergenerational trauma. It certainly would have some affect on Indigenous students.

My daughter has earned her Bachelors in Family Counselling and Social Work. You can book a workshop with her through my website, Jordan Dawson will share her experiences as an Indigenous student and now advocate for Indigenous people regarding trauma. Recognizing the signs and how to support Indigenous people and students. Teachers need the support for themselves as well.
